:) hi

This piece uses 6 different values. Throughout the square image, there are long organic shapes using 5 different values. The lightest color is used as the background. It reminds me of a cell under a microscope. It looks like theyre all moving and flexing and gives me a squirmy and busy feeling. I really like the image- I really like that the background is even paid detail to and colored in. I think it is successful because when the different values meet you see that lighter color around the edge because of the contrast.

In Hernan's drawing I can see five different values throughout the entire piece. The background is one value and there are long organic shapes that possess the other four values. None of the organic shapes are touching each-other. It looks like the organic shapes are swimming in a pool that is very crowded. The picture gives me a rushed and cramped feeling when I look at it because of the lack of negative space. I like this drawing that Hernan made. It was very different from the other pieces. He took up the whole page and didn't use any white as a value. This drawing is very unique and I enjoy the abstract qualities of this picture.
